Thought about this the other day...it seems like there are no real boundaries anymore. I mean, everywhere you turn there is another example of a 'crossover' or a 'hybrid'. Everything is everything:
- Cell phones are mp3 players are web browsing devices.
- Camouflage hats with Nascar logos for hunting AND going to the race
- SUVs are mini-vans are station wagons
- Cable company provides cable, internet, and voice
- Unitarian churches that integrate messages from all faiths
- Pink NFL apparel that support your team and breast cancer research
- McDonald's and their healthier menus
- Vitamin-fortified water
- Hybrid golf clubs marrying the distance of a fairway wood with the playability of an iron.
- Super- Targets and Walmarts...buy ammunition, paintings, and produce at the same place.
- Bon Jovi and other pop artists writing songs to get on Country charts
I dunno...maybe this has gone on for a long time and I've never noticed it. No doubt musical artists have constantly pushed boundaries and experimented with different genres. I just wonder what the consequences might be from all this 'crossover'. A lot of it is market-driven, but I wonder if we'll be able to tell the difference between a pickup truck and a 4 door sedan in 20 years? Who knows?

Here we go
So here I am....waaaay late getting into the blog-game. I've resisted personal blogging for a while for lots of reasons, too many to get into. I think back when I was doing my TTPMO (things that piss me off) back on my old angelfire site, that was probably some form of blogging, and a lot of people enjoyed that. Its migrated to my family website as IHMO (in my humble opinion) and doesn't get updated nearly enough, but is still a good idea. Maybe this will turn out to be something like that.
Anyway, I have no idea if anyone aside from a few close friends and family will ever read my postings, but that's ok. My goal is just to bring together some of my ideas and ideas I learn about, and share them for whatever worth that is. Probably will be some combination of politics/current events, life, religion, science/technology and anything else I deem 'blogworthy'. (Since I'll be searching for more permanent employment in a few years, I doubt I'll get too racy, but that's probably a good thing. Maybe I need an alias for my more unbridled opinions...).
Can't promise how frequent I'll post entries, cuz life is always a little bit crazy. But I can promise that when I do post, it will be for a good reason.
